Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actor who is known for her roles as lead actress in a variety of television shows and also for her powerful performances in movies. She has a large following in American and Canadian television. Emily started acting when she was 12 after visiting her older sister Katie in one of Katie's films. Once she discovered her passion for acting, she began to take acting classes, and then going for auditions. She started out with a few ads and soon was included in the show Are You afraid of the Dark the Canadian horror film for children. One scene in which she appeared without speaking even a single word. When she was 15 years old, she made her breakthrough when she became an actor on the WB show Glory Days. Emily's performance in the WB show Glory Days which ended up being cancelled nine episodes later, caught the attention of and landed Greg Berlanti from Dawson's Creek. Emily was an accomplished ballet dancer and photographer. Teen once named her as one of the top actors under the age of twenty. Maxim placed her at number 51 on its Hot 100 of 2014.
