Her birth date is March 29, 1985, in Roswell New Mexico. Her birth title is Gerina Mendoza. Gerina Stevenson is a native of Mexico as the daughter of Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. The mother of two is a Mexican American and is an American in nationality. Since the age of a child, she has had a strong desire to participate in athletics. Gerina began playing golf around the age of 15. Gerina was a student at Goddard High School for her secondary education. Gerina was a winner at an award at the New Mexico State Golf Tournament during her time in high school. Additionally, she was the volleyball player that competed at the state level. In 2003, she started her studies at The University of Texas. She won all of the tournaments she competed in during her final years. Through her college career she took home the Conference USA Individual Champion Player of the Year award and UTEP Female athlete of the year.
