April Lockhart
April Lockhart is a born July 4th in 1995. As a seventh-grade student she began to take guitar lessons and piano lessons. It was this that ignited her love to write songs. April's first song was Different, which she wrote when she was 12 years old. At the age of 14, April spent much time writing lyrics and perfecting her musicianship ability. After a while, she began traveling with her father and to write songs in NY as well as LA. The month also saw her include different topics related to some of her friends dealing with issues such as bullying by peers and teen suicide in the song"Take my Hand. Lockhart is an influencer in the beauty and lifestyle industry with a growing following. She is a partner with the popular brand Ilia together, and is also a lifestyle expert. She has a disability that is a component of her identity, but it is not the whole image. Lockhart's Instagram profile doesn't cover up her disability, but it does not just focus on her disability. The message? It's this That we all carry multiple identities and are far more complicated than we believe we're. Lockhart in a video message sent from her Nashville home, says that I don't wish for this to define my character. I'm more than my physical self. The issue doesn't affect my everyday life. I conduct my business as usual and have come up with my own methods to adjust. This is a major part of my life, so it is important that we talk about the subject. Lockhart inspires us to keep striving to be self-accepting. However, she admits that she has had periods when she felt uncomfortable with her appearance, and the clothes that showed her arms. She can wear whatever she wants, and she happily shares pictures of her in these outfits. What makes self-love so appealing to her is that it's not a place to go. It's a long journey. I don't think you ever get there. It's important to be around people who can really understand you.
